If financially viable, you may equally take into consideration granting them a pleasant break on any upcoming rent increases, maybe like delaying their increase for a few months. Send them a respectful, nice card stating your intentions, and most likely, they will be very pleased with the gift of reduced rent for a few months longer than they thought.
